Leadership Development for Interns
As a component of the holistic experiential education at WMU, the CWLC supports students participating in WMU's internship program each semester. We provide leadership surveys, self-assessments, strengths assessments, and personal consulting with the CWLC consultant as well as a dialogue with the WMU executive director. Interns are provided a snapshot of the leadership skills others perceive compared to personal perceptions. Each intern is encouraged to set personal goals that will enhance his or her leadership skills. An appreciation luncheon or brunch at the end of the semester allows each intern to debrief the intern experience.
