Day 6: Born on Purpose

Read: Start by reading John 1:12–13 out loud a few times. 

“Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God” (John 1:12–13 NIV).

Meditate: Just as John the Baptist was born for a purpose, God also created each of us on purpose. 

Yes! You, too, were born on purpose. 

Day 5: Unopened Gift

Read: Start by reading John 1:10–11 out loud a few times. 

“He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him” (John 1:10–11 NIV).

Meditate: Jesus came at a time like today when the world needed to hear a message of hope. When Jesus went to His hometown, He used a reference from Isaiah to explain the gift He came to offer the world,

Day 4: His Presence in Us

Read: Start by reading John 1:8–9 out loud a few times. 

“He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light. The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world” (John 1:8–9 NIV).
