Day 3: Sent to Tell

Read: Start by reading John 1:6–7 out loud a few times.

“ There was a man sent from God whose name was John. He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe” (John 1:6–7 NIV).

Meditate: Is it possible that as Christians in a hurting world, we should also be a witness so that many might believe? As you meditate on this thought, read the verses again replacing the words man, he, and him with woman, she, and her and the name John with your own name.

Day 2: Misunderstood

Read: Start by reading John 1:5 out loud a few times.

“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it” (John 1:5 NIV).

Meditate: Why is it that darkness does not overcome or understand the light?

As a Christian woman, you can think of the very presence of Jesus as a light shining in you. Imagine His light shining through you in this hurting world that does not understand the light. Read John 1:5 again with that thought in mind.

Day 1: Light of the World

Read: Start by reading John 1:1–4 out loud a few times.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind” (John 1:1–4 NIV).

Meditate: What words are especially meaningful to you today?

Did God really make us on purpose and for a purpose?
